PCG Mission Fields Conference. Annual 4-day conference.
PCG Mission Fields Conference 1988-2003. Annual 4-day conference to give PCG agents from all the mission fields of the PCG an understanding of the unique nature and task of church work in new areas, and of the different approaches to ministry necessary in the mission fields. As from 2004, this will become the ACMC Mission Conference.
Orientation in mission and ministry for new pastors
Orientation in mission and ministry for new pastors 1990-1997. Annual programme for all PCG graduates from Trinity College, (and since 1994, from Special Ministerial Training), to help them define more clearly their call by God to ministry in the PCG, appreciate the spiritual heritage of the PCG and consider in depth the doctrine and practice of ministry in the PCG. Since 1998, this became Ministerial Probationary Studies, as the Centre was given responsibility for a two-year programme of continuing education for newly commissioned pastors.
Pastors Mission Workshop
Pastors Mission Workshop 1991-2003. From 2004 this will be called Spiritual Formation Workshop. Annual 4-day retreat for personal spiritual refreshment and renewal for PCG pastors. The programme blends Bible study and exposition with studies on the Reformed tradition and the historical legacy of early PCG pastors, times for sharing and prayer. Also provides opportunity for pastors to make use of the Centre's reference library for personal study.
Programmes for pastors and lay leaders
Programmes for pastors and lay leaders from a number of denominations are designed to help churches deepen their reflection and action for greater obedience and greater effectiveness in witness, including a Vernacular biblical commentary project in one northern and one southern Ghanaian language, Preachers' workshops, a Study Process for Christian professionals on their role in the public sphere, and a grassroots research project on Gospel and culture.
